Family Camp 2025
Chapter Family Campers want to encourage other member families to find out what the CHS-MC Family Camp is all about. It is a wonderful program that the current attendees value and enjoy. We invite you to contact the office and ask about camp and what to expect from a camp experience. Please have a look at: Goals-of-CHS-MC-Family-Camp 2024.
2025 CHS-MC Family Camp will be held from July 13th to the 19th at Luther Village, near Kenora Ontario. Located on the beautiful shores of Dogtooth Lake, Luther Village has much to offer including programming for children, comfortable accommodations, and activities for the whole family, hiking trails, boating, and more. Luther Village has an excellent web site: www.luthervillage.ca
CHS-MC will financially sponsor Chapter members who meet the following criteria:
- Children 17 years of age and under with an inherited bleeding disorder
- Their siblings aged 17 years of age and under
- Their parents or guardians – 2 adults In the circumstance where one parent or guardian cannot attend, one alternate adult may attend in their place
All members who meet the eligibility criteria will pay a registration fee of $50 per person attending. These Chapter members will be registered on a first come, first served basis. Registration will open in April. Watch for notices.
Reservations will only be held if registration fees are paid by the deadline indicated when you register.
Once Luther Village has shared with us the theme for 2025 we will post it and the Family Camp letter.
Chapter members outside the sponsorship criteria are welcome to come to camp, but will be responsible to register with Luther Village and pay their camp fees directly to Luther Village. To see the current rates for Luther Village, please visit Family Camp Rates. Please remember to add the Meal Plan to the accommodation fee.
Thank you to our 2025 Sponsors
Family Camp offers unique education opportunities with an experienced bleeding disorders nurse. We hope to continue to have a pediatric physiotherapists from the Manitoba Bleeding Disorders Program coming to camp attend for two days! Both the nurse and physiotherapists will be able to spend more time with families helping them with their goals towards maintaining physical wellness, transitioning to home-care, and learning to administer their medication.
