Volunteer Awards
The membership is so lucky to have so many dedicated people who work to help the community. These are people who sit on the Board or Chapter committees. Sometimes it is a member who acts as a support to a group of friends in the community. We are lucky to have people who support the Chapter through our fundraisers and who support our advocacy efforts with the healthcare system.
Is there someone who has been important to you and your family? Please consider making an award nomination. The AWARD NOMINATION FORM describes the criteria for each Chapter award and shares who has won these awards in the past. Help us show our volunteers some love! The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, March 31st.
IMPORTANT MEETING TO ATTEND
The 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) marks a pivotal point in the Chapter’s history. We will be discussing the upcoming CHS name change, the Chapter’s four year strategic plan and where the organization fits in the lives of Manitobans managing inherited bleeding disorders. We are all grateful for the positive changes in treatments for hemophilia but we know we have a lot of work to do to understand and represent the other bleeding disorders in our community. Join us to discuss what the community needs from the patient organization and how we can continue to serve you and your family.
Board Elections
Is this the year you run for a CHS-MC Board Directorship? The Board, ideally, should represent the bleeding disorders community we are serving. We are actively seeking women with bleeding disorders and parents of children bleeding disorders and members with von Willebrands.
The Chapter is looking to fill positions for the coming year. All of the Board job descriptions as well as nomination forms can be found in Board Volunteer Positions or download CHS-MC Board Election Nomination Form 2026. The deadline for nominations is April 4th.
The Executive positions (President to Treasurer) are elected annually. To run for these positions, you must have been a Board Director at some time in the past. The Past-President is an appointed position.
